Merrell Race Tekapo Giveaway – Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is Scenic Sports Events trading as Merrell Race Tekapo (the “Promoter”).
2. Eligibility
- Entry is open to individuals aged 16 years or older at the time of entry.
- Entrants must be able to travel to New Zealand and participate in the Merrell Race Tekapo event.
3. Competition Period
- The competition opens at 12:00am NZST on 2 June 2026 and closes at 11:59pm NZST on 7 July 2026.
- Entries received outside this period will be at the discretion of the promotor, covering certain international expos.
4. How to Enter
- To enter, participants must complete the official entry form and submit their details as instructed.
- Only one entry per person unless otherwise specified.
- Incomplete or fraudulent entries will be deemed invalid.
5. Prize Details
One winner will receive a prize package including:
- NZD $1,500 contribution towards flights
- 3 nights’ accommodation at Peppers Bluewater Resort, Lake Tekapo
- A scenic flight with Air Safaris
- A Tekapo Springs pass for Two (2)
- Two (2) race entries (for the winner and a friend/partner)
- Post-race massages for Two (2)
- Two (2) pairs of Merrell Agility Peak 6 shoes
Total prize value is approximate and may vary.
6. Prize Conditions
- The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
- Travel must be taken in conjunction with the Merrell Race Tekapo event dates (or as specified by the Promoter).
- All additional expenses (including but not limited to meals, insurance, transfers, and incidentals) are the responsibility of the winner.
- Prize components are subject to availability and the terms of each supplier.
- If any part of the prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it with a similar item of equal value or deem unusable for events out of the Promoters control such as weather events, natural disasters, missed flights.
7. Winner Selection & Notification
- The winner will be drawn at random within 5 days of the competition closing date.
- The winner will be contacted via the details provided at entry.
- If the winner cannot be contacted within 5 days, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize or draw a new winner.
8. Use of Entries & Promotion
- By entering, participants agree to the Promoter using their name, image, and entry content for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation.
- The winner may be required to participate in promotional activity related to the competition.
9. Liability
- The Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury suffered as a result of accepting the prize, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
- The Promoter is not responsible for any technical issues, lost entries, or delays.
10. Privacy
- Personal information collected will be used for the purpose of administering the competition and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
- Entrants may receive marketing communications from Merrell Race Tekapo or affiliated competition partners, which they can opt out of at any time.
11. Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Disclaimer
- This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, or Instagram.
- By entering, participants agree to release Facebook and Instagram from any responsibility or liability associated with this competition.
- Entrants understand they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook or Instagram.
12. General
- The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.
- By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
