- The closest domestic airport is in Timaru, only an hour away from Lake Tekapo.
- The closest International Airport is in Christchurch City, a 2 hour and 40 minute drive away.
- Alternatively Queenstown is 2 hours 50 minutes away, which also hosts an International Airport.
