RACE DAY INFORMATION

The Race Village is situated right on the lake front between the shops and the lake. You can't miss it! Please follow the signage and make your way to the start area. 

The Race Village is less than a 10 minute walk from most accommodation options in the township. 

Gear will be checked for 50km, 32km, 21km, and 12km competitors at the following times:

• 50km - between 5:30 - 6:00am 
• 32km - between 6:00 - 6:45am
• 21km - between 6:30 - 7:15am 
• 12km - between 7:00 - 7:45am 

Please arrive the at the Athlete Check In marquee with your race number and seam-sealed jacket so you can be checked off. 

Race Tekapo is running under a Traffic Management Plan. All roads on the course will remain open and competitors must abide by marshal instructions at all times. 

Any competitor who does not follow marshal instructions will be automatically disqualified. 

There will be a designated 'Bag Drop' in the Athlete Check In marquee. When you check your bag in you will be given a tag. After your race and when you are ready to collect your item/s, please show your tag to the staff at Bag Drop and you will have it returned. You will need your tag to redeem your gear. Please keep it in a safe place. 

The use of music devices is discouraged. The use of headphones restricts a competitors ability to hear marshal instructions, traffic, and other competitors. 

Some music devices are designed to sit out of your actual ear - these are permitted. Alternatively, please run or walk with only one ear piece inserted.
